Collaborative engineering from Spiro Gills and WM Codd

A major UK steel producer required new water-cooling equipment for one of their furnaces, as the existing units were at the end of their service life.

• Design & Manufacture: Spiro Gills Thermal Products produced a like-for-like replacement finned tube bundle, incorporating a custom stairway and safety handrails for safe access.
• On-Site Execution: WM Codd carried out the removal of the old coolers and expertly installed the new units.

The result: a seamless transition, safeguarding furnace operations and demonstrating the strength of DMI Group’s collaborative approach.
